Connect the controller to the first ballast, interconnect the ballasts using the supplied interconnecting cables, set the ballast dial to ext. (external control) and you're ready to go!
As a reminder the Gavita Master controller is an electronic controller that replaces expensive timers and light switches, while avoiding ballast inrush currents produced when lamps are turned on.
The controllers Gavita controllers give you a centralized solution for switching, dimming and boosting your ballasts. They feature auto-dimming for high temperatures, emergency shutdowns and sunrise/sunset settings. The controllers Gavita replace the traditional contactor/timer and eliminate ballast inrush current
All your DigiStar E series ballasts can be connected to a single controller, even in a scenario of installation in two separate chambers, independently equipped with their own thermal sensor for automatic high temperature control and emergency shutdown in case of extreme temperature. We offer different types of controllers to meet your specific requirements.
Two accessory contactor modules ECM Gavita can be connected to control auxiliary equipment, one of which activates the equipment when the lamps are on (e.g. humidifier, CO2 control equipment
or air conditioning) and the other when the lamps are off (e.g. heater).
Adjustable electronic ballasts Gavita DigiStar adjustable electronic ballasts guarantee maximum lamp output, even with input voltage fluctuations. They are completely silent, non-heating, safe and more efficient than magnetic ballasts. DigiStar ballasts allow you to adjust the light output of your lamps. This feature allows you to dim, increase light output or use different lamp wattages with one ballast - 400W for vegetative growth or 600W during flowering, for example. Choose the right lamp for your high frequency electronic ballast to avoid lamp failure. We recommend the use of HPS sodium lamps Gavita sodium lamps with a one (1) year (5,000 hours) warranty for DigiStar models.
The ballast is equipped with a "Soft Dim" feature: The "Soft Dim" feature, which is linked to the brightness selector, adjusts the light intensity gradually, over a period of 60 seconds per setting increment.
