How to grow batavia lettuce?
Soil maintenance: Rich and fresh soil, loosen the surface
Exposure: sunny, sheltered from the wind
Sowing : 0.5 cm deep in a bucket
Emergence: in 6 to 8 days in soil at 10°C.
Watering: regular watering. Keep the soil moist throughout the culture to obtain a lot of foliage and allow a better conservation after harvest. Leaves soften and plants go to seed if not sufficiently watered.
Harvesting: Cut the lettuce at the neck to see the new shoots appearing
Preservation: a few days in a cool place, to prolong its conservation wash and spin it.
Origin : Lettuce is very old cultivated in Europe
