Setting of the device :
WARNING: The device must be permanently connected to the mains. It takes a few minutes of connection before the Quartz timer starts.
In Auto position
Allows you to set the current real time (hours on the dial, minutes in the small window).
In 45° position (if in horizontal or vertical position, turn it one notch in the direction indicated by the arrow so that it is at an angle, as in the photo).
Notches circled in purple (1 notch = 30 minutes):
Pushed outward = timer ON
(lamp A is on when the timer is in the OFF position, lamp B is on when the timer is in the ON position)
In this position (setting visible on the picture), lamp B is on (timer in ON position), when the dial will have turned according to your setting, the notches will turn the knob green by 45° and put it in OFF position, the power will switch to lamp A, and so on.
NOTE: the switchover is not instantaneous, a delay of 1 to 2 minutes can be observed between the extinction of the first lamp and the lighting of the second.
CAUTION: Works with magnetic ballast. For electronic/digital ballasts, they can be put in safety at the time of the switch (interpreting it as a failure of the bulb, it cuts, it is then necessary to disconnect and reconnect the ballast to reinitialize it and relight the lamp). In this case, you have to add a timer before the ballast, program it to turn off the ballast 5 minutes before the switch is made on the second lamp, and turn it on again 5 minutes after the switch is made. And apply the same procedure for the switch in the other direction.
